Martin Janicek & Michael Northam - Live sound action in BAINS::CONNECTIVE

14. April 2006 - Brussels, Belgium
For one week both Martin and Michael worked together in BAINS::CONNECTIVE to create a live sound workwith the intention to explore raw sonic materials with little to no processing. Michael and Martin use the time to consider how the two might bring together different inspirations to arrive at a shared event - a particular emphasis on motifs and cycling patterns found in objects, in sound and in images. Picomedia is proud to propose the three parts of the live performance they presented. The recording has been made in the room and has had no further editing.

This collaborative release explores polar sounds around several pictures of siberian landscapes. "North" is the glimpse of a nordic dream, extremely evocative and brut. This work results from a mail-art project between the two bands, based upon found pictures, mail exchange, sounds from live installations, and studio works.
